In order to maintain the safety
of your guests and organizers, postponing your planned events during this time
is a must.
While this is applicable to our
current situation, many people are surely wondering if postponing or cancelling
your events which fall beyond the current Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ)
should also be observed. And if you postpone, how far down the year should you
do it?
To help you out in deciding, here
are three factors you should consider before finalizing on a new date for your
event.
#1 Order of Priorities
- Are there more pressing things
you or your company should prioritize before holding this event? It's important
to ask this question especially if you were financially hit by the month-long
community quarantine. Do you have enough funds to pay for your employees and
suppliers?
#2 Availability of Suppliers
- With the month-long lockdown,
you're surely not the only one who has decided on postponing your event. Before
you decide on a new date, make sure to get in touch with your suppliers as well
as event organizers regarding their availability. Making sure that the venue
you chose is available is also a priority.
#3 Welfare of your Guests
- Another thing to think about is
your guests. Where are they coming from? Here in the Philippines or abroad? No
one knows when the pandemic will totally die down and people might be a bit
iffy about traveling places. So get in touch with your guests and ask them
about their time frames.
There you have it. These things
are just a few of many things you need to consider before choosing a new date,
make sure that you ask for your event planner's help so it doesn't get
overwhelming.
