BEST CHURCHES FOR A WEDDING IN THE PHILIPPINES


Finding the perfect church is no easy task especially if you’re planning a wedding. The bride and groom , since this happens once in a lifetime must land on the best church of their choice. SAN AGUSTIN CHURCH

The beauty of San Sebastian Church will make you want to say your “I DO” on its altar. But of course in choosing a church for your wedding you should know their requirements. Better to jot them down and make a decision as early as possible to get your target wedding date.

* New copy of Baptismal and Confirmation certification of the couple from the church where they were baptized and confirmed, (certificates are valid for six months from the date of issue), with the note “FOR MARRIAGE PURPOSES ONLY” and to be submitted two months before the wedding.

* Marriage license to be acquired from the civil registry of Marriage of the City or Municipality of either the Groom or the Bride.

* Certificate of freedom to marry- Filipino Citizen living abroad for more than 6 months, to be secured from their Parish abroad.

* Canonical interview of the Groom and the Bride to be conducted two months before the wedding date.

* A Certificate of Attendance in the Pre-Cana Seminar or Marriage Preparation Program or other programs related to marriage.

* Ecclesiastical banns and permit to be announced for three consecutive Sundays in the parish of the Groom and of the Bride (The forms will be provided and filled up during the Interview).

* List of names and addresses of Principal Sponsors- A minimum of one pair and a maximum of six pairs are allowed.

* Widower and widow must present the Death Certificate of their deceased partner.

The package inclusions are priest, candles, red carpet, flower decoration, ushers, lightened candles and soloist and organist and the price mostly rate at 20,000 – 25,000. San Agustin Church is located at General Luna St, Manila







SAN SEBASTIAN CHURCH

The unique structure of San Sebastian Church make it stands out from other churches. It made from steel with Gothic architecture. Rental fee is 20,000 which includes of flowers, carpet, church coordinator, soloist, organist and priest. Listed are the requirements couple should accomplish as early as possible.·

* Certificates of Baptismal – this document must have a note “FOR MARRIAGE PURPOSE ONLY” and valid for six months.

* Confirmation Certificate – this requirement same as the certificate of baptismal must come from those churches where the couple was confirmed.

* Marriage License – issued by the city hall and valid for 2 months.

* Freedom to marry

* Clearance from the Chancery Office – needed document if anyone had lived or worked abroad for more than a year.

* Note of requisition signed by the chapel coordinator – A pre-cana seminar at the Saint Therese Hall every Sunday.

* 4r sized pictures – 2 copies







SANTUARIO de SAN JOSE

A small garden by its entrance is one of the many reasons why Santuario de San Jose is one of the top choices of marrying couples and it can accommodate 100-150 guests. The church is located in Buffalo corner Duke Streets, East Greenhills, Mandaluyong, Metro Manila. The rates ranges from 18,000- 25,000 with inclusions of flowers, carpet, soloist,organist and priest. Here are the requirements couple should submit to the church:

* Baptismal and Confirmation Certificates- issued not more than 6 months and with a note of “FOR MARRIAGE PURPOSE ONLY”

* Marriage License and other civil documents- issued by the city hall and valid for 2 months.

* Marriage interview

* Wedding banns

* Request Permission from Bride’s/ Groom’s

* List of principal Sponsors- to be submitted at the parish

* Officiating Priest

Remember that deadline of submission of all requirements must be one month before the wedding date.
