Wedding Trends 2018

Wedding month is nearly coming. And by this time, most of the soon to be couple still looking for the perfect trends that their wedding should have. Most of them opt to stick on to traditional wedding. But some and due to our recent generation, they opt to have a unique wedding.
Millennial indeed!
In this article, you will learn new wedding trends. These are the wedding professionals’ predict to be the upcoming trend for 2018.

A Change of Color.
Navy over black. It is forecasted that couples will be opting for navy or neutral shades for their wedding color scheme. These colors are expected to be seen on wedding invitations as well as bridesmaid’s
Silver and chrome: Silver and chrome are predicted to be the metallic color for the year replacing rose gold, gold, and brass

A return to formality: Wedding professionals are predicting a strong presence of uber-elegant weddings this year. It’s expected that cleaner florals, classic tuxedos, and a hint of sparkle will be a trending theme for 2018. We will be seeing formal clashing with creativity this year, so it’s formal but not in a suffocating way.

Décor: Hanging flowers are the floral décor of the moment. Suspended arrangements are in for 2018. It’s also predicted that couples will be keeping their guest table arrangements simple while focusing more on ceiling décor. Instead of extravagant centerpieces, you’ll be more likely to see a small cluster of vases with one or two types of flowers this year.
Adding texture is another way couples are planning on enhancing their guests experience. Different textures and something different on various elements such as menus, linens, and even mismatching tabletops for the reception tables are some of the new ideas that people are expecting to see more of this year.
The rustic barn looks will be seen a bit less and will be replaced with a “woodsy” look. More greenery will be seen in the florals and green will be seen in some weddings as the weddings main color. We’re also expecting to take a step back from burlap and see more wooden details. Wooden details can include the wedding invitations, table numbers, seating cards, tags, chargers, signage, chairs and tables.

Entertainment: For 2018, couples are going to be putting more efforts into creating an incredible experience for guests. Couples are incorporating interactive components into their wedding to entertain their guests with creative food ideas, music, and photo booths. The photo booth concept is not predicted to go away. However, some of today’s couples are having an open booth with a backdrop. A “no booth-booth”. As for props, people are tired of the same old props, so either they won’t have any props in their photo booth or they’ll seek out new, innovative props.

Food: This year, food will be more unique. We have been hearing more and more from couples how important food is to them. New food experiences and food that reflects a couple’s personal style will be seen this year. Innovative ideas such as appetizer stations or other specialty stations will be present in 2018. (Sushi bars, Coffee bars) Creative desserts will also be seen more! Couples are predicted to go “all out” with desserts this year. Wedding cakes are also making a huge comeback, not that they ever entirely went away, but the cake cutting ceremony is coming back. Cake cutting is something that couples want in their photo albums, just as their parents have in theirs.

Destination Weddings. It’s pretty obvious that destination weddings have become more and more popular in 2017. But for 2018, expect even more couples to travel to unique venues. The desire for more intimate weddings that will allow for couples to travel, will certainly be something to consider–and I’m totally for it! Plus, it could be a great way to already start the honeymoon immediately after the wedding, as well as a chance for your guests to take a vacation.
