In the Philippines, a young lady's 18th birthday is usually accompanied by a large party-- complete with a variety of foods, decorated venue, photography and video coverage, music, entertainment and hand-picked entourage. This is called "Debut" -- a traditional Filipino coming-of-age celebration for young women.
